MUSIC BY ROSEY REIGN IS OUT ON ALL STREAMING PLATFORMS

ABOUT

Rising from a haunting darkness, alternative dark pop artist Rosey Reign embodies a dark and edgy sound, bonding her with fellow darklings through powerful and emotional lyrics revolving around the downs and darker side of life. She’s a voice for those who struggle to be alive and aspires to make them feel less alone in their darkness whilst making fans, including herself, feel empowered.

BADDEST WITCH IN TOWN

Baddest Witch In Town is a dark empowering anthem where Rosey painted herself the villain to be able to feel powerful enough to slay her inner demons to find her way back to a healthy state of mind. Baddest Witch In Town is connected to Rosey’s first single ‘Lost’ where she finds herself drowning in the abyss whereas in Baddest Witch In Town she finds the strength to fight off her demons once again.

FUCK UP

FUCK UP is a rebellious, upbeat and sarcastic ANTI-society banger with dark undertones. It calls society out on several ways its dysfunctional and influences mental health in a negative way. From having to hide your negative emotions to working as a slave from 9-5 to survive instead of pursuing what makes YOU happy. The message: LIVE LIFE THE WAY YOU WANT TO even though that may mean being a ‘‘FUCK UP’’ in the eyes of society.

CASKET

CASKET is a cute but psycho kind of villain song with a Harley Quinn type of persona locked up in a psych ward where she gets pills that make her worse. She causes menace and continues her type of ‘fun’. ‘’I was put on psychotics once and I completely lost it which I believe caused me to write this song including the fear of actually having to be admitted because sometimes I do really feel insane because of my mental illness. This song was a fun way for me to escape that fear or process it if that makes any sense?’’

DEADLY DIVINE

Deadly Divine is another dark empowering song based upon Roseys childhood trauma and having to make hell feel like home from a young age. The anthem starts with a glimpse on the past but shows the growth she had as an individual and warrior woman fighting to conquer he demons from within. ‘‘I’m no where I want to be yet but I needed an anthem that would pick me up whenever I’m back into that dark place again. Deadly Divine is one of those songs for me and I hope it can be the light in darkness for others’’

DEVIL WANNA LOVE ME

‘‘I’ve always felt fascinated by the occult, dark religion and Satanism. I remember watching The Chilling Adventure Of Sabrina at the time and was inspired by the fact that Satan was perceived as good (which in this society is a very unpopular opinion but my entire mind basically is!) The inspiration for this track was simple: I was like how cool would it be to just make a bad bitch track with the concept: a fun party in hell with Luci where I pull all the strings turning out that I’m actually the devil herself?’’

DEATH MEDIA

DEATH MEDIA is another one of Rosey’s bad bitch, angry rebel songs similar to ‘‘FUCK UP’’ but this time about the negative impact of social media (DEATH MEDIA to Rosey) on ones mental health. The song includes the toxicity of comparing one self to others with the consequence of not feeling good enough, the rise of the suicide rate among youth and how likes and views abuse your dopamine system. Rosey struggles being active on social media because of the above but has to do it to build a fan base; explaining ‘‘now i chose the gun’’ which to her is social media, declining her mental health. ‘‘Happiness here I come’’ is her dark humour and sarcasm speaking.

SADLIFE

‘‘I’ve been struggling with depression all my life and SADLIFE is about drowning the abyss and reveals negative thought patterns when you’re really going through it. I’m still afraid to grow old only to realise I haven’t really lived at all because depression disables you in a way you can’t live your life to the fullest. With this track I just hoped to make others going through the same ugly disease or down feelings to feel seen and validated <3’’

LOST

Lost is a sad melancholic ballad written by Rosey in the depths of depression that doesn’t romanticise mental illness but speaks the truth. In the bridge it gives a glimpse of hope, a warm embrace to those listening. With an important message: letting them know it’s okay not to be okay and just sit with your demons for a while until you’re ready to take action. Lost is connected to Baddest Witch In Town.

“I DON’T LIKE THE WORLD SO I’M CREATING MY OWN

AND ALL ARE WELCOME JUST THE WAY THEY ARE”
